The State of India’s Public Services – Benchmarks for the New Millenium

At the dawn of the 21st century, PAC carried out a national study covering all the states of India to assess the condition of its public services based on user experiences. Using the CRC approach, user feedback was taken from 37,000 households on five public services – drinking water, primary healthcare, primary education, primary distribution of food, and public transport. Aspects covered included access, use, reliability and satisfaction.
