Stakeholders’ consultation meeting

– 14 October, 2016

Public Affairs Centre in collaboration with Environmental Management and Policy Research Institute (EMPRI) hosted a Stakeholders’ consultation meeting to share findings from a recently completed study on Water Security in Peri-Urban areas around Bangalore.

Villages in and around Bidadi are facing acute water crisis. This crisis stems partly out of water shortage but the larger problem is in the presence of excess chemicals. A study conducted by Public Affairs Centre (PAC) in collaboration with Environmental Management and Policy Research Institute (EMPRI) has indicated that the water bodies around Bidadi have excess of Chlorine and Fluoride content in them and the nature of water is largely acidic.

The findings of ‘Assessing Double Injustice and Climate Change and Urbanisation on Water Security in Peri-Urban Areas around Bangalore’ can be found¬†Here
