Training field investigators in assessing Public Service Delivery in Andhra Pradesh

Dr Samuel Paul pioneered the first Citizen Report Card (CRC) in 1994 that led to the formation of the Public Affairs Centre (PAC). We have perfected the art of conducting CRCs for the last 23 years. With immense knowledge in this field, the government of Andhra Pradesh invited PAC to conduct a training of field investigators who are tasked to collect data from the field that will help in assessing Public Service Delivery in Andhra Pradesh. A total of 23 services would be assessed as part of the project that include 11 services in rural areas and 12 in the urban environment.

The data will be collected with the help of CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviews).

Dr Meena Nair, Dr Sreedharan and Mrs Poornima G.R. from PAC conducted the three-day training programme held from 4th to 6th April, 2017. Several officials from the Andhra Pradesh State Planning Board (APSPB) including the Member Secretary, Joint Director, Research Analyst and the trainees (field investigators) were present at the training workshop.
