• Inception report (Project Progress report) underlining Final Questionnaires, Sampling Design and Survey Work-
plan was submitted to the department.

“ This is a fascinating project aimed at understanding the key activities performed by Pan-

chayat Development Officers (PDOs) over the course of six days. The project is unique in
that it seeks to gain insights into the various bottlenecks, time management skills, and
overall efficiency of PDOs across 10 districts and 30 Gram Panchayats (GPs) in Karnata-
ka. By examining the activities of PDOs over a six-day period, this project has the poten-
tial to uncover important trends and patterns that can shed light on how these officers
are managing their time and resources. Furthermore, by studying PDOs across multiple
districts and GPs, the project can provide valuable insights into regional variations in
performance and help identify best practices that can be adopted more widely.”
