“ A positive aspect of this initiative is its focus on aligning development concerns in the
State with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs). By aligning
with the UN-SDGs, the project is also contributing to global efforts towards sustain-
able development which is important for achieving a more equitable and prosperous
future for all. Additionally, the project’s emphasis on evidence-based research and data
science is a promising approach for addressing development challenges and ensuring
more efficient and effective delivery of public services in Meghalaya.”

“ Governments produce a large amount of data by way of monitoring of schemes and
through everyday operations. There is extensive-if untapped-potential to utilise such
data to inform governance that improves citizen experience. Through its Knowledge
Partnership with the Public Affairs Centre, the Government of Meghalaya is working
together to mobilise available data for evidence-based policy craftsmanship.”
