Key Activities: Livelihoods (SDEL), Government of Karnataka
• Completed Capacity Building & Training of 255 personnel from Karnataka Skill Development Corporation
(KSDC), District Skill Development Offices (DSDOs) and the Labour Department
• Assisted the department in operationalising four Migrant Information Centres (MICs) at Davanagere, Udupi,
Vijayapura and Yadagir under the aegis of the Karnataka State Unorganised Workers Social Security Board (KSU-
WSSB); an additional MIC was started at Mysuru District under KSDC apart from existing 8 Centres
• Reviewed the performance of all MICs and Migrant Regional Centre (MRC) under KSDC
• Conducted Pre-Departure Orientation of 447 emigrants at the IMC-K Pre Departure Orientation Training before
(PDOT) Centre, Bengaluru
• Overseas Consultant facilitated placement of 620 candidates by the Karnataka Vocational Training and Skill De-
velopment Corporation Recruitment Agency before (KVTSDC RA)
• Facilitated meetings with the Protector of Emigrants (PoE), Bengaluru and Senior Officials from the KSUWSSB
• Presented the End-of-year V and Project Closure presentation to the Commissioner, Department of Industrial
Training and Employment (DITE).
