“ The successful implementation of the IMC-K in Karnataka by the PAC Team reflects the
commitment of the State Government and its institutions such as the SDEL, KSDC &
KSUWSSB in establishing the Overseas Employment Pathways (OEPs) and promoting
ethical recruitment of skilled, trained and certified manpower. PAC successfully built
the State’s capacity to handle migration matters and, in the process, enabled a ro-
bust stakeholder connect for both State Government-Recruitment Agencies (RAs-K)–
KVTSDC and KSUWSSB. The participation of various government and private insti-
tutions in the effort also paved way to establish an inter-institutional framework in
the State that ensure the overall welfare and protection of the migrants sent abroad.”

“ The KSUWSSB as a State Government-run Recruitment Agency in Karnataka is autho-
rised to recruit youth from Karnataka. It functions under the aegis of the Department
of Labour, Government of Karnataka, and has a full-fledged office infrastructure at
Kalyana Suraksha Bhavan, Bengaluru and experienced and fully trained staff to ren-
der recruitment services to the aspirant candidates. During 2022-2023, the KSUWSSB
successfully operationalised four Migrant Information Centres (MICs) in Davangere,
Udupi, Yadagiri and Vijayapura districts at the Labour Offices. All the Labour Officers,
Senior Labour Inspectors/Labour Inspectors and the staffs in all the districts received
extensive training by the PAC Team (PMU) on various aspects of IMC-K& its implemen-
tation on ground. Through the MICs, the KSUWSSB established networks with various
stakeholders, creating sustained Overseas Employment Pathways (OEPs) for providing authentic information and
support to the unorganised category of workers at the last mile. KSUWSSB will initiate recruitment and is confident
of its accelerated growth in recruitment business in the near future.”
